Welcome to Acadia Tides
Acadia Tides is a stunning group of ocean front rental homes located in the town of Bernard on the "Quiet Side" of Mount Desert Island, minutes from several Acadia National Park highlights including the Bass Harbor Lighthouse, The Wonderland Trail and Ship's Harbor Trail. The wonderful town of Southwest Harbor is a 5 minute drive, offering quick access to excellent restaurants and shops without the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor.
Acadia Tides has ~200 feet of spectacular private cobblestone beach overlooking Blue Hill Bay, deep water frontage with private mooring and a new 150' pier with float/dock. This unique property enjoys southern exposure with amazing sunsets and island views from nearly every vantage point.
Our Cottages
There are five different properties in Acadia Tides, each on its own 1+ acre of space. Each cottage can be rented on its own or in any combination to suite the size and needs of your vacation.
The Boat Builder's House is charming Cape style cottage built in the 1850's that sleeps 8. With a pleasant balance of modern amenities and historic charm, it offers a traditional coastal Maine experience.
Complementing the historic Boat Builder's House are four newly built one bedroom A frame cabins, each with its own unique decor, personality and view of the ocean.
Our A Frame Cabins
Each cabin has an open floor plan with stunning views of the ocean and sunset. Equipped with many amenities to include a fire pit and outdoor lounge areas, washer and dryer, induction cooktop, stocked Keurig coffee maker and even bathrobes, our A frames of a uniquely beautiful and luxurious way to experience Acadia. Each cabin has a living room with ocean views, a kitchen and dining area for 2, a king size bed and a beautifully appointed bathroom.
Sunset Cabin: Perched on the edge of the beach overlooking the dock, Sunset Cabin offers a stunning sunset view as well as a very private fire pit and picnic area nestled into a rock outcropping.
Driftwood Cabin: This ocean front cabin is nestled into the pines along the northern edge of our private beach. Driftwood Cabin offers the most expansive views with sunset shining through almost every window in the cabin.
Osprey Cabin: Set back a few hundred feet from the beach, Osprey Cabin has an expansive view of the entire beach and coastline and a large private outdoor entertainment space. The bed+
Evergreen Cabin: Overlooking the hills and ocean, Evergreen Cabin is the closest cabin to the Boat Builder's house and a great choice if you want to book the house and a cabin.
Larger groups, Weddings and Other Events
Each property can be rented on its own or in any combination.

Traveling as a large family to Acadia? Use the Boat Builder's house for the kids and family meals and let the adults enjoy their own private get aways in each of the A frame cabins.
Hosting a wedding or event in Acadia? Acadia Tides encompasses 6 acres of stunning coastal property with large open spaces and countless opportunities to host a truly unique event. Imagine a wedding on the beach, lobster bake dinner and then sailing off into the sunset from the private dock. We can coordinate with local planners to help create a experience you will never forget.
